Delilah Snell and the Jam Van  @ Opening Reception, Saturday, October 29, 2011 5-8pm

Delilah Snell is a community educator, master preserver, blogger (Backyard in a Jar) and the owner of The Road Less Traveled, an eco-store in Santa Ana. She brings her knowledge and love of preserving to Acquired Taste with her Jam Van, a converted, vintage Volkswagon van that has been featured on KCRW’s Good Food radio program. For the Acquired Taste opening reception, Delilah has created a one-night only participatory event specifically for the attending audience and a special  savory preserve inspired by the exhibition and artwork.

Food Tasting and Cooking Demos by Chef Jonathan Dye @ Opening Reception, Saturday October 29, 2011 5-8pm

Jonathan Dye is a Fullerton- based chef who has created quirky, original recipes inspired by a selection of artworks in Acquired Taste.

Gregory Stewart is an emerging sculptural artist from Virginia whose work focuses on food, sustainability and community involvement. For his co-residency, Greg will create orginal art based on his mobile gardens for the Acquired Taste exhibition as well as create programming and interactive free workshops with the arts community of downtown Santa Ana. Additionally Greg has also agreed to give lectures for the community both at Grand Central Art Center and at CSUF.
